About
the Teacher (Mrs. Horton)
I have been teaching in the Sycamore School District since 1990. I taught third grade for 8 years before becoming the elemenatary technology coordinator in 1998 for Southeast and South Prairie. In 2006, I became the Director of Technology for the school district. I also still work at South Prairie as the Technology Specialist. In 2007, I became the full-time Director of Technology.
I graduated with my bachelors in education from NIU in 1988 and with my masters in instructional technology from NIU in 1999.
Please note that these activities are located outside of this site. We are not responsible for any changes in content on those sites. Also, some of the activities may require updated players (such as Shockwave). Also note that I am no longer in the classroom, so I don't use this site. I have considered removing it, but have gotten so much interest from people that I have decided to leave it up. Please contact me if you notice links that need to be changed.
