After School at the Sycamore Middle School
Homework Help!  Friends! Activities!

Purposes:

• Help with academics and homework
• Provide positive friend and social time and a safe and enjoyable place to be after school
• Offer a Variety of Real World Activities – exploring careers, community volunteering, field trips, recreation, and personal growth

 

When:

• Monday through Friday; but you may request to attend 3 or 4 days (minimum 3 days and 4 to 5 days is recommended)

• 3 PM to 6 PM; but:

• Pick your daily time – A) 3 to 4:40, B) 3 to 5:20, or C) 3 to 6
• Students being bussed home must select 3 to 5:20 PM

• August 31 through May 30 except for September 2 and November 23. There will be separate announcements on activities and times for early dismissals, no school days, over breaks, and Saturdays

• Snack 3:05 to 3:20 daily

• Homework help 3:20 to 4:40

• Lounge or chance to hang out from 4 to 4:35 if homework is finished

• Recreation, personal growth activities, volunteering, career exploration, and other real world activities 4:45 to 5:15

• Homework time, more Real World Activities, and recreation 5:15 to 6

• Field trips

• Parent events and education
